Airtel Restates Commitment To Less Privileged Nigerians

Airtel Nigeria has restated its commitment to empowering the less privileged in Nigerian as it donated food stuffs, consumables, relief items and other materials to support the students, staff and management for the Bethesda Home of the Blind, Lagos.
The Airtel team, which was led by its regional operations director for Lagos Region, Femi Oshinlaja, used the occasion to interact, bond and share inspiring stories with the students and other stakeholders of the home.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Oshinlaja said that Airtel Nigeria is committed to touching the lives of millions of Nigerians and will continually embark on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that will help transform the communities where it operates.
“We are happy to be here today to share with Bethesda Home for the Blind as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility activity, Airtel Touching Lives. Every month, Airtel Nigeria employees contribute to support worthy causes which will help empower Nigerians, especially the less privileged in our society. We can only but imagine the trials residents of the home go through and so today we are here to offer relief and help ease the pain,” he said.
According to him, Airtel Nigeria is committed to earning its social licence to operate through its robust CRS agenda.
He also noted that the telco will continue to explore ways of enriching the lives of all its stakeholders.
Also speaking at the occasion, Mrs Chioma Ohakwe, Founder, Bethesda home for the blind, thanked Airtel Nigeria for its contributions in uplifting the Home and empowering the less privileged.
“Our hearts are full of joy for this great thing Airtel Nigeria has done for us. Airtel Nigeria is not an organisation that serves itself alone but rather it gives to the less privileged. They are co-workers with God.
