Indonesia Digital Learning Achieve The Best CSR Program 2016

Telkom Indonesia (Telkom) won an award for its commitment in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility. The Indonesia Digital Learning Program (IDL) held by Telkom was awarded as the Best Program for Education Quality Improvement Categories in the event of Nusantara CSR Summit & Awards 2016 organized by The La Tofi School of CSR in Jakarta, (18/10).

Vice President Corporate Communication Telkom Arif Prabowo thanked all the parties for the award given to the Indonesia Digital Learning program. "Indonesia Digital Learning is a form of a commitment by Telkom Indonesia in building a digital society, especially teachers through ICT learning for teachers across Indonesia," said Arif.

Based on the assessment of the jury is Chairman of The La Tofi School of CSR La Tofi, Executive Director of the Commission for CSR National Rev. Aris Darmono and Professor of Communication Studies, University of Indonesia Ibnu Hamad, program IDL is considered successful a positive influence on changes in the life of the teacher community by improving the competence, skills and the quality of teachers, particularly in the use of ICT in teaching and learning.

The assessment of the companies, both private and state-owned company uses a number of parameters of which the impact of the program refers to the scope and extent of the program's success in overcoming the problem by identifying social needs. 

This refers to the impact of the quantitative results of the program. Factor innovation on the program refers to the strategy or any new initiatives adopted to address social needs. Innovation refers to think out of the box and approach has not been widely implemented.

The ICT learning programs for teachers across Indonesia has been done consistently by Telkom since 2008 that began with the program "A Dedication To My Teacher". Along with the transformation of the company into a digital company, in 2014 the program has shown a progression into Indonesia format Digital Learning.

"Through IDL, Telkom hopes to improve the quality of teachers in Indonesia, particularly in the use of ICT in teaching and learning which can have a positive impact on the atmosphere of learning and recognize the young generation of creative, innovative and competent to face the global competition," added Arif.
