The Miami Marlins today announced
that they have partnered with Orangetheory Fitness to benefit the Marlins
Foundation. For every Giancarlo

Marlins RBI is a youth baseball and
softball program designed to promote interest in baseball, academic achievement
and social responsibility. The program provides a healthy outlet for
children in underserved areas and stresses character development both on and
off the field. Last year, the Junior Division of Marlins RBI won the
World Series and was presented
Championship rings byGiancarlo
Stanton. These kids live in South
Florida and
are committed to the goals of RBI. This program is one of the signature
examples of the Marlins' commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Giancarlo
Stanton led the National League last season with 37 home runs, 24
of which came at home, slugging percentage (.555) and total bases (299).
In the offseason, Stanton garnered a second-place finish in the National League
Most Valuable Player balloting by the Baseball Writers Association of America.
He was named the NL's recipient of the Hank
Aaron Award,
given to the top offensive performer in each League, and won his first Silver
Slugger™ Award.
Additionally, Stanton was voted by
his peers as the Players Choice Award winner as the NL's Outstanding Player.
"Orangetheory Fitness is
beyond thrilled to be working with the Marlins, the Marlins Foundation and Giancarlo Stanton for the 2015 season to help raise
money for the Marlins RBI program," said Scott
Breault, Director of Marketing for Orangetheory
