Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of Centara Hotels &
Resorts, has announced the appointment of Kanokros Sakdanares
(Wongvekin) as the Corporate Director of Corporate Affairs and Social
Responsibilities with immediate effective.
Kanokros has extensive experience covering 24 years in hotel
industry. She graduated with a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Business
Administration at Ramkamhaeng University, majoring in Public
Relations and Advertising before gaining her MBA (Master of Business
Administration) in marketing fromSrinakharinwirot university, Prasarnmit in
Bangkok.
Kanokros also studied English in the United Kingdom, receiving a
first certificate of English examination from Cambridge University.
She began her public relations career in 1991, spending seven
years at The Sol Twin Towers Hotels Bangkok, the first Spanish
chain hotel in Thailand, as PR Officer and later as Public Relations Manager.
She then worked at several leading hotels including Amari Watergate
Hotel Bangkok, Amari Atrium Bangkok and the Royal
Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers Bangkok as Director of Public
Relations. In 2004 she joined Centara Hotels & Resorts as Corporate
Director of Marketing Communications and has been working in this position for
10 years and a half prior to this new appointment as the company’s Corporate
Director of Corporate Affairs & Social Responsibilities.
Kanokros is now responsible for the company’s image and social
responsibility activities and, as such, is an official corporate representative
for social affairs, social events and social responsibilities. Kanokros now
reports directly to Supatra Chirathivat, Senior Vice President –
Corporate Affairs & Social Responsibilities and Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO
of Centara Hotels & Resorts, respectively.
Kanokros has received the award for 'Best Public Relations
for Thailand, Hong Kong and Macau' fromStarwood Hotels and Resorts while
working at The Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Bangkok. She is
currently serving as the elected President of Hotel Public Relations
Association.
