THE Provost of Adeyemi College of Education
(ACE) Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, has emphasised the need for corporate
organisations to always fulfill their social responsibility pledges to their
host communities.
Ogen said this while receiving 10 HP 15 new
Laptop computer sets donated to the institution by the management of Ecobank
Nigeria Plc, to add value to the institution.
He stressed the importance of mutual
relationship between organisations and their business partners, noting that
such relationship is very necessary in the 21st century for growth and
advancement of the nation.
The college boss expressed his unreserved
pleasure over the donation, which he said is part of the 100 computers pledged
to the institution by the bank management for the use of the college academic
board members.
He lauded the bank for its support to the
growth and development of the college, and plans to partner with the college in
the construction of students hostels and staff quarters.
The College administrator remarked that the
installation of Automation Teller Machines (ATM) and commencement of its branch
in the institution would enhance the good relationship existing between it and
the bank.
Similarly, the Registrar, Mr. Felix
Aderinboye, thanked Ecobank for the humanitarian services and pledged the
readiness of the college to partner with it in the attainment of its goals.
Aderinboye, however, used the occasion to
solicit support from other corporate organisations by imploring them to emulate
the bank, stating that the move would enable them contribute their quota to the
development of the institution.
A representative of the bank, Mrs. Ada
Tony-Ilebor, who presented the computers, stated that the step was taken as
part of the bank's commitment to the growth of the college.
