As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in
advancing the vision and knowledge of Nigerian youths, leading MTN, has
partnered with, RISE Networks, a private sector funded youth-interest
organisation, to engage youths across the country in a National Developmental
Forum.
The forum is focused on advancing the aspirations and knowledge
of youths, all over the nation, by providing them with the opportunity to
interact with renowned and successful Nigerian Business Icons and
professionals, who will share with them knowledge and experience on their success.
Speaking on the partnership with RISE Networks, the General
Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria, Kolawole Oyeyemi, explained that the
company as a truly youth-friendly brand is committed to every activity that
will positively develop and engage Nigerian youths in other to contribute their
own quota to national development.
In his words: “A key strategic focus of MTN is to, constantly,
provide an engaging platform for Nigerian youths and the company has
continuously demonstrated this through innovative ways across various areas of
life , like the Project Fame, Link Forum, Lagos Street Soccer, Football
Scholar, App Challenge, DoBox, Songstar among others”.
According to him, the essence is to provide an engaging platform
for Young Nigerians to exchange ideas and learn relevant skills and
techniques. “Through this platform, many talented young Nigerians who
will lead Nigeria into that envisioned ‘greater tomorrow’ will be unearthed, as
they will hear from those who have excelled in different areas of lives,
established icons, esteemed professionals and successful entrepreneurs.
Inculcating in them, a greater vision for life and inspiring them to greater
heights, as they move up the ladder of success,” he noted.
The forum, which is designed to be highly motivating and
inspiring, based on the arrays of speakers that would be attending the events
is set to kick-off in Owerri, Imo State and get to other four States, which
include, Edo, Oyo, Kwara and Lagos states.
